Test It Out Thursday: Spring Edition

May 05, 2016

Some products provide gratis via Brandbacker // All opinions are my own
I tested out a ton of new products this month, so I complied a quick list of what's a must-buy and what was a bust!

WHEN SHEET MASKS // I <3 these! My skin was super dehydrated from the stress of finals and my ever-growing to-do list (FYI - I'm done with law school..woo hoo!!). The masks are made of coconut, and come in 5 different varieties. I tested out "10:00PM" and "Last Chance." Both are meant to hydrate and depuff, and I'm happy to report that they did just that! This was the first time I've ever tried a sheet mask. I'm quite impressed. Also, the price point is fantastic at only $7 {available at Sephora & Ulta}. With summer fast approaching, I'd highly recommend them for travel.

NYX SPRAY PRIMER // I'd say this is probably a dupe for the Smashbox primer water, at a third of the price! Great for days when you're not wearing much makeup. If you're a full-coverage kinda girl, I'd recommend this primer but for you light-weight foundation'll love the spray!

MAKE BEAUTY LIPSTICK & EYE SHADOW // Based out of New York City, this brand is cruelty-free and hypoallergenic - two factors I always consider when purchasing cosmetics. Plus, it's from my hometown, so I had I feeling that I was going love their products. The lipstick {I tested out "Taffy"} was super creamy and pigmented. I'd recommend lip balm beforehand to avoid any creasing though. The eye shadow was great for every day because of the neutral shade {"Alabaster"}. I rarely use shadows wet, but I tried this out that way and absolutely loved it! MAKE was kind enough to offer my readers a 20% off code if you'd like to give them a try with "MAKEYOURSELF" at checkout. Be sure to use the hashtag #MakeYourself when you share on social media!

L'OREAL COLOUR RICHE EXTRAORDINAIRE // This was a pinterest find, and it is one of my all time favorites. Admittedly, I try to avoid drugstore brands that test on animals but I made an exception. The color is "Nude Ballet" and it's perfect! Great shine, long-lasting, and fantastic with liquid lipsticks. I plan on wearing "Naked" by Anastasia with the gloss overtop for graduation day!

Do you think you'll give any of these a try?

Happy Thursday,
