I've always considered myself to be a fitness enthusiast. My fitness journey began at the age of 14 after puberty had gotten the best of my body - my bum, hips, thighs and belly became more jiggly than jello. I felt completely uncomfortable in my clothes and wanted to get into my best shape before starting high school. To put it simply, pilates saved my body. The core muscles crafted by pilates will last no matter what the weight on the scale. At my highest and lowest weight, I have always felt strong and tone in regards to my stomach. As a woman, that is typically one of the most challenging areas. So, if you are looking to tone your tummy, I highly recommend pilates.

Anyway...I obviously digress because today's post is all about the fitness fashion!! The point of my overzealous intro was to share the various types of workout routines I've tried over the years. Pilates was my first practice (I refer to it as practice because there is a mind-body connection that has to take place in order to truly benefit). I dabbled in some Tracy Anderson Method training, Beachbody "Slim in 6" and Vinyasa yoga but I kept coming back to pilates. After quite a few years, I grew a bit bored of my pilates regime, so when I found Barre3 {read more about it here & here} I feel in love! It is the perfect combo of cardio barre & pilates, plus it will whip you bum into shape in no time.

My Barre3 practice consists of at-home sessions and in-studio classes. I also plan on adding some elliptical work into my routine since there's a fabulous gym in my apartment complex. With these workout options, I needed fitness wear that could go from an active environment, wherever that may be, to running errands or even attending a class once school begins again. Fabletics has answered my prayers. They offer high-quality (Lululemon level) activewear for a fraction of the price of high-end retailers. The best part is all outfits are super on-trend and wearable in everyday life.

The outfit featured today can be purchased here! You can get your first outfit for 50% off with my code {just click to be re-directed}. In order to receive this awesome discount, you will have to sign up for the VIP membership.

PLEASE READ ~ In the interest of full disclosure, I want to share how I go about avoiding the monthly cost of the membership. Fabletics will email you monthly with new outfit picks based on a preliminary quiz. You will have the opportunity to "skip" a month of workout wear and avoid the $49/mo charge (which if charged, is a credit towards an outfit) by opting out by the 5th of each month. I set a reminder on my iPhone to "Skip Fabletics" on the 1st of every month. You still remain a VIP member so you'll get all the benefits when you're ready to make another purchase.
