May Favorites

June 04, 2015

May has been a crazy but awesome month. I finished my second year of law school, had an opportunity to spend quality time with my boyfriend, friends and family, booked a Bermuda vacay, and got my summer work schedule in order.

In addition to all those wonderful things, I've been loving a ton of beauty items and accessories that I just had to share with you all!

Bare Minerals "Stoke of Light" Eye Brightening WandThis little wonder has been in my makeup collection for some time now but I rarely used it. My undereye circles have been absolutely horrendous this month, so I've been searching for ways to concealer, lighten, and brighten. I use this on top of my NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer or NYX HD Photo Concealer and it is perfection.

Gerard Cosmetics Lipsticks: My first lipstick from this YouTube famous brand was Jaclyn Hill's 1995 (i.e. the perfect Kylie Jenner lip). My lipstick-loving law school girlfriend gave it to me, and I feel in love with the formula. While it is matte, in my opinion it is the perfect combo between a matte & satin finish...and it lasts all day! This month I ordered 3 more {Get 3 for $28 with code "PromPout"}. I am literally obsessed with all of them and have worn them constantly. Among the colors {Nude, Tequila Sunrise, Kimchi Doll}, I reach for Kimchi Doll on the daily. It is by far the best peachy nude I've ever found.

Elizabeth & James Nirvana White: I got this gorgeous fragrance as a 100-point sample from Sephora, and holy cannoli I am in love. I've never been a big fragrance girl, so it takes a lot to get me excited. I adore everything about this scent - it is perfect for everyday or a big night out. It has notes of peonies, muguet and musk {whatever all of that really means, I don't's just fabulous!}

Artistry Lipgloss by Amway: I recently posted about this awesome, super hydrating & creamy lipgloss. I reach for it time and time again - perfect springy pink. Read more about it here! If you'd like to purchase it, want to save on shipping and are local Staten Islander, email my friend Danielle at

Michael Todd Wild Berry Exfoliating Peel: As you may know, I am literally obsessed with all of Michael Todd's products. My skin is in the best condition its ever been in thanks to these products - you can read more about them here and here. With the Memorial Day Weekend sale, I stocked on my staple favs {cleanser & toner} as well as the Wild Berry Peel I've been wanting to try. This peel seems amazing! It softens and gently exfoliates your face. I use it 1-2 times per week and have loved my results.

L'oreal Iron Straight Heatspray: I'm embarrassed to say with all the curling and straightening I've done over the years that I've never used a heat protectant. After using WEN cleansing conditioner for over a year now my hair is the healthiest and longest its ever been. I am doing my best to maintain its current condition, so I promised myself I'd find an affordable, quality protectant. Well, I can assure you that I've found it. Although this L'Oreal spray is meant for straightening, it works perfectly with whatever style you are doing and holds it for 2-3 days! Under $5, you can't beat it. I bought mine at Target.

Kendra Scott Elisa Necklace: To say I've been coveting these necklaces for months is an understatement. My BFF over at The Blushing Bridal Guide hooked me up and I finally got my hands on these gorgeous babies. Not only are they beautifully crafted and designed, but they are perfect for everyday wear and layering. With the conservative nature of the legal field, I've had to tone down my jewelry - big & blingy best describe my tastes - so the Elisa necklace offers just the right amount of shine and sophistication. I got the Iridescent Druzy & the Blue Lace Agate. You won't be disappointed if you get one of these, or any of the other available color/design options!

Stay fabulous,
