A Reflection on 2016 & What's Ahead

January 02, 2017

Happy Monday, friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I was fortunate enough to spend ten days in New York celebrating with my loved ones. Christmas is my favorite time of year so I truly enjoyed being home. As you're reading this post, however, I'm heading back to Pennsylvania to settle back in before work resumes tomorrow.

Given that we are already two days into 2017, I thought it would be appropriate to reflect on an amazing year it's been and what's up next...

2016 // Where do I begin? It was the year I graduated law school, took the bar exam, became a licensed attorney, and started my first job post-education. Blood, sweat and (many, many) tears went into achieving this goal, but that made it even more satisfying when I finally accomplished it. Things truly started to fall into place when I let go and let God. If any of you are looking for some inspiration, I'd highly recommend this daily devotional. I began reading it in January of last year, and it changed my entire outlook. It's incredible what a shift in perspective can do for your mind and soul.

To add even more excitement to my year, Will and I finally set our wedding date! We'll be married in July of 2018 at Villanova's church. Aside from the ceremony and venue, not much else has been booked yet, but that's what 2017 is for.

2017 & Beyond // As I just mentioned, we'll be getting everything in order for our wedding. I plan to share bits and pieces of our experience as we work through planning process. In that same vein, I have big plans for my little corner of the internet. My primary goal includes providing you with higher-quality content at least once a week. You can expect a post every Wednesday, and if I have additional items to share, they will be uploaded on either Monday or Friday. Now, given my profession, there's a chance I'll miss a few weeks throughout the year, so please follow along on Instagram {@RightToRemainFab} for daily updates.

On a more of a personal note, Will (my fiancé and former boyfriend of now 11 years - yes, you read that correctly) will be graduating dental school in May. He's such a dedicated health professional, and I can't wait to see where his career takes him. We've made the decision to permanently relocate to the Philadelphia suburbs, so he'll be moving in to my little bachelorette pad come early summer. With that comes a potential move to a larger apartment or townhouse and a possible new car purchase. It's like we blinked and life happened, but it's been a long time in the making, and we couldn't be more thrilled!

From a health perspective, I just purchased the PIIT28 program by Cassey Ho of Blogilates. The option I bought comes with both the 28 day reset and workout plan. I swear by pilates so I'm excited to see how this goes! Plus, I'm really hoping to improve my eating habits. I'll keep you updated on my progress.

And, that's all I got folks...I wish you a very blessed, productive 2017! Thank you for your continued support. Don't forget to share and subscribe.
