For the Brides & Brides-to-Be

January 26, 2015

My best friend from high school is one of the most creative & fabulous up-and-coming wedding planners I know.  Lauren currently works at the place we all dream of getting our dress - Kleinfeld Bridal! She recently joined the blogging world so we decided to do a little collaboration. Her guest post is below, and it's all about bridesmaids gifts! Be sure to show some love by sharing and subscribing to her blog. My beloved Chloe+Isabel jewelry has made an appearance, so even if you're not in need of a bridesmaid gift, you can always treat yourself to a special something!

If you're in the midst of planning a wedding, then you're probably starting to think about gifts for your bridal party. Yes, it is customary to give your bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents gifts on the day of your wedding or at the rehearsal dinner.

Bridesmaids Bridesmaids in particular help the bride throughout the wedding planning process (bridal shower, bachelorette party, etc.) and tend to get a few gifts in the months preceding the wedding. For example, if the bride wants her best gals to wear matching jewelry on wedding day, she might give them each a bracelet at the bridal shower. Jewelry is a fantastic gift option for bridesmaids because of its versatility. Brides can hand out matching earrings to be worn at the wedding or personalized initial necklaces for the name of each individual bridesmaid. One of my favorite jewelry companies is Chloe + Isabel and they have gorgeous collections for every color and style that can easily be worn again post-wedding!

MOB and MOG
Chloe + Isabel
is also a great gift for the MOB (Mother of the Bride) and/or MOG (Mother of the Groom) too! However, if you want to get them something a little more personalized, try something like this from Etsy!

Groomsmen
Now for the men of the bridal party, I would stay away from jewelry! Popular ideas are photo frames, handkerchiefs, money clips and key chains.
